April Boddie


Comedienne and Actress April Boddie grew up on the hard streets (the burbs) of Norcross, Georgia.  As a only child she loved to entertain anyone who would pay attention or lose change. Whether it was impersonations or using her twisted witty humor to tell funny observational stories April would perform anywhere, including the congregation of her Grandfather’s church. After graduating high school, April focused on developing her acting and improv skills at the Susan Batson Acting Studio and Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC. Currently working at BuzzFeed and performing since 2008 her credits include CBS,BET, Comedy on Demand, and recently opening for Mike Epps.

Our Mission is to recognize excellence in cinema and to promote learning and artistic expression for people at all stages of their artistic careers with a focus on nurturing emerging filmmakers and helping them gain recognition and contacts to break into this difficult industry. We pride ourselves on our diverse collection of Festival selections, allowing our audience to enjoy films they normally wouldn’t think to seek out.
