Carter Ciaran is an experienced local theatre actor, whose dreams and ambitions minimize everything else in his personal life. His intense preparation of method acting that includes never breaking character alienates him from local productions intimidated by him and from his family who are estranged from him. However, when Carter is preparing for a new lead role as a clown, he receives news that his sister is on her deathbed. The choice Carter ultimately needs to make is to either follow his artistic aspirations or be there for his loved ones in the greatest time of need.
