The Vault is a post-apocalyptic/Sci-Fi series about a ragtag group of survivors living in an underground military base known as the Vault. Buried five miles beneath the earth, this state-of-the-art facility is humanity’s only remaining home. The group is lead by Evelyn Pierce, a no-nonsense strategic and calculative Commander in the Canadian Armed Forces. No one leaves the Vault without her say so, and only for surveying and scavenging missions. The world everyone knew is gone – in its place, an Earth where nuclear winter, radiation, eternal cold and darkness remain. Outside the Vault, nothing can grow and nothing can survive.
About the Director
Sara Martins began her career making documentaries and short films in Toronto, Canada. She later produced and directed several music videos and became a production manager on various digital series and feature films. In 2016, she released her feature documentary Never the Bride, and began writing her next work The Vault. In 2017, Sara was awarded production financing from the Independent Production Fund (IPF) and recently completed the project as a 8 x 10 digital series. She is now working along with her writing partners on The Vault season 2.
