The Gift of Love is a dramatization of a real life event that happened in North Hwanghae Province in North Korea. Lee Sojung has done her best to deal with her husband’s illness and feed her family but has run out of options. As reality closes in, she resorts to telling a big lie.
About the Director
Gyu-min Gim defected from North Korea and settled in South Korea. After graduating from film school at Han-yang University, he started his career as a film maker.
