Frederick Baer spent over a decade on death row in Indiana State Prison. He is still waiting for his death penalty to be executed. ‘Eye for an Eye’ is a hand-drawn animated documentary about a murderer’s time on death row and the conflicts about his guilt and destiny.

About the Director

The three directors of ‘Eye for an Eye’ met at Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany. Steve Bache is from Pirna and received vocational training as a design assistant. Louise Peter is from Berlin. She studied Philosophy and Theater, Film and Media Science in Vienna, finished her acting degree in Berlin and worked as a freelance actress for film and theater. Mahyar Goudarzi is from Düsseldorf. He studied Applied Media Science in Cologne and does editorial work for various television formats.
