Green energy company SolarMate is a fraud. After being approved for nearly $600 million in federal subsidies, the company becomes the pet project of new hard line US Attorney General Douglas Geiger, out to expose corruption and abuse in corporate welfare. But Geiger has just stepped into an arena controlled entirely by a shadowy figure known simply as The Executive. SolarMate accountants Steve and Tim get coerced into an attempt on Geiger’s life…which predictably fails. Steve and Tim escape to Brooklyn, where they’re held by The Executive’s people in an abandoned warehouse. Meanwhile, clandestine forces awaken to correct the situation, but will they seek to eliminate Geiger or The Executive?
About the Director
Sean Buttimer originally hails from Atlanta, GA. A former US Marine and graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Sean moved to New York City in 2011 to better position himself for a career in Film and Television. Smoke Screen is his first feature as writer/ director. Aside from his work in the film industry, he is a real estate agent for Keller Williams Realty Liberty.
