A wealthy Westchester family seem to have everything, and when we join them they are having a celebratory meal as their son introduces his ‘friend’ to the rest of the family. It turns out that his friend is actually his lover, and this evening was going to be his big coming out party. However, an intruder surprises the family, and in a knee-jerk reaction the father gets a gun and shoots the intruder in cold blood. Realizing the scandal this could cause, the family weighs up the possibility of just getting rid of the body and not involving the authorities. After all their talk of being upstanding people, the family faces a very real moral crisis as they look into the abyss.
