2013 Winter Film Awards Call For Entries

cropped-wfa-logo-burr-225x75.gifNew York, NY (September 27, 2012)-  The Winter Film Awards submissions committee has announced a Call for Entries for the 2013 Festival. Call for entries begins today and submissions deadlines are as follows:  Early Bird – December 1 2012, Regular Deadline – January 1 2013, Late Deadline – January 20 2013, Extended Deadline – January 30 2013. Entrants will be notified of final decisions by February 1.

Winter Film Awards is an organization which seeks to celebrate excellence in independent film, facilitate the production of new exciting collaborations, and to serve as an arena where local filmmakers and film industry constituents can connect to each other and the community. We aim to provide a stepping stone for all filmmakers, from students with blossoming careers to established industry veterans, to showcase their work and gain widespread recognition for their achievements. The Second Annual Winter Film Awards kicks off February 28.  The weekend festival consists of three days of film screenings and industry networking after parties culminating in an awards show to be held on March 1.

WFA Submission categories include the Perspectives Award showcasing the immigrant or first generation experience, plus Feature Film, Documentary, Foreign Language, Screen Play, Horror, Short Film, Music Video, Film Not Yet Completed, Television Pilot or Series and Animated Film categories. Winter Film Awards is proud to offer exciting grand prizes totaling over $20,000, including Adobe editing software and Footage Firm high quality royalty free stock footage collections.
