Natasha Berezhnaya began her career in costume design in Central Asia where she designed costumes for the National Circus of Kazakhstan and later expanded her work for theater, skate championships, and dancing competitions from Russia, across Europe, and onto New York, Ft. Lauderdale, Coral Springs, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and Miami. Many well known performers have come to rely on Natasha for that extra touch-that subtle embeIIishment--that can spell the difference between a gold and an 'also ran'. Before beginning a custom design Natasha meets with her clients to discuss their overall ideas and determine the colors and color patterns most suitable to her client's age, complexion, and body features. Preliminary drawings are then done and presented for client approval before the designs are converted from the drawing table to the rink, theater, or ballroom. The fitting process is individualized and intensive. As her costumes take flower there are at least two fittings performed and the client is encouraged to share with Natasha any flourishes, additional colors, or details the client would like to incorporate.
