Mars Roberge is a Canadian-American dual-citizen filmmaker from Toronto and living in Los Angeles. Mars’ previous films include his documentary THE LITTLE HOUSE THAT COULD about “Sex & the City” stylist Patricia Field (2013 Frameline, Audience Choice Award for Best Film at 2015 NewFilmmakers Los Angeles), the punk comedy SCUMBAG (2017 International Film Festival Rotterdam), the drag dramedy MISTER SISTER (closing film for 2021 Dances With Films + 2021 Winter Film Awards–Best NYC Film). His latest feature STARS is having its world premiere as the opening film for this year’s Winter Film Awards International Film Festival, a film that was funded by We Make Movies for $25k plus gear sponsorship after Mars won their first ever “Make Your Feature” pitch contest in 2021.
