Lauren Brickman is an actor, writer, and director who has been creating original work since childhood. Some of her earliest memories are of performing on her driveway and convincing the other neighborhood kids to put on plays in her basement. As a professional performer, Lauren has appeared on TV shows like Ghost: Book of Power II, Bull, Alterlatino, and in the feature film Gloria Bell. Her credits include numerous commercials, web sketches, and web series like Sitters (which she co-wrote and co-starred alongside @FatCarrieBradshaw), as well as One Horse Town, which she co-wrote and co-starred alongside Caitlin Bitzegaio, with whom she also produces the pop culture podcast and live comedy show “We Stan Together”.

Most recently Lauren starred in the short horror film Puzzled written and directed by Juan Leon. The film premiered at the International Latino Film Festival in LA and has been taken off the film festival circuit due to the buzz it stirred up! Juan and Lauren are in pre-production on a new project called Roomies based on Lauren’s real-life experience being her grandmother’s end of life caregiver.

On stage, Lauren has been seen Off-Broadway in Stuffed and has toured all over the country with Lisa Lampanelli’s Losin’ It as well as the critically acclaimed Children’s Comedy group, The Story Pirates. Lauren was also a house performer and director at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre.
Lauren is a full-time faculty member, academic advisor, and LAS program coordinator at the New York Film Academy and an adjunct lecturer in the CUNY school system. Lauren has previously taught at Adelphi University, Montclair State University, The University of Iowa, and many other schools and programs throughout the country.
