Jalen Vasquez serves as the Director of Freelancers Hub, a coworking space operated by Freelancers Union in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. In this role, he coordinates workshops, programming, and actively engages with community members.
Beyond his responsibilities at Freelancers Hub, Jalen is a dedicated freelance multidisciplinary designer specializing in illustrations, graphic design, toy design, and design strategy. Through his venture, Jalen Vasquez Illustrations & Designs, he offers a diverse range of creative services to clients.
His commitment to the freelance community is further demonstrated by his co-founding of Freelance St., a platform dedicated to supporting freelance designers and artists, and his role as a Spark leader, organizing local NYC community meetups.
Jalen holds a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from The University of Edinburgh.
