As Sales Manager for Odyssey Distributors, Catherine worked under Patrick Wachsberger, who is now world famous for the TWILIGHT feature franchise. At Odyssey, Catherine learned about pitching and making international pre-sales of live action movies on a territory by territory basis. Titles she sold include THE HANDMAID’S TALE (Faye Dunaway, Robert Duvall), Q & A (Nick Nolte, Timothy Hutton), TUNE IN TOMORROW (Keanu Reeves, Peter Falk) and several other indie features that had major North American studio releases.

In 1992, Catherine moved over to television distribution and ran the LA office of the UK company Dandelion Distribution. Her first international coproduction TV series deal (Australia, UK and USA) had its primetime premiere on the US Discovery Channel in 1993.

Catherine moved to New York in 1995, to become Vice President of International Distribution for GoodTimes Entertainment, one of the strongest North American distributors at that time. BRANSCOME INTERNATIONAL licenses completed features, series and shorts – most of their content is animation, targeted for Kids and Family audiences. Buyer clients include broadcasters and cable/streaming platforms, as well as pan-regional channels from major entertainment companies such as Disney, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. While the company specializes in licensing completed content, on a selective basis it also helps independent producers to secure pre-sale and set up coproductions.
