Thank you for your interest in judging films for the Winter Film Festival! We are so proud to screen such amazing films, and that is 100% due to the thoughtful consideration of our army of submissions judges.
Submissions judging runs from July 1 2025 – November 30 2025. We assign roughly 2 1/2 hours of films per week. All viewing and scoring can be done online. Judges are asked to view each film in its entirety, then score it on 8 technical points (sound, script, acting, etc) and provide an overall score and any additional comments.
Our local judges are very much welcome to attend the Festival as our guests – each judge receives a pair of All Access passes to the Festival.
Films are generally assigned on Wednesdays – you’ll receive an email with instructions to access your films and submit your scores. If there’s a week you cannot finish your assignments, no worries, just get to them the following week. If there’s a week you finish early, we are happy to toss some more your way.
