The reality of a dying woman, bedridden in hospice, alternates with a parallel one in which she is finally performing on stage, as she longed for all her life. Even her nurse becomes part of this vision, incarnating the woman when she was young. Using the highly metaphoric language of dance theatre, she relives the important moments of her life – falling in love, being young, becoming a mother, expanding as a woman. Soon, old age takes over and the end approaches inexorably, till in a suspended, poetic final, life and death embrace in a farewell dance.
About the Director
Flaminia Graziadei is a British and Italian citizen and award-winning Director, Producer and Choreographer. With her production company, LonRom Film, she directed and produced award-winning shorts, commercials, music videos, web and TV pilots and the feature ‘The Final Haunting’, currently available on Amazon Prime. She has won 28 awards and more than 80 nominations, including at two BAFTA qualifying festivals. She is a member of BAFTA Connect.
