Nakia, a young woman trapped in an abusive relationship, finds herself at a crossroads when she discovers she is pregnant with her boyfriend’s child. Filled with anger and a desperate need for justice, Nakia resorts to a forbidden path in her quest for revenge. However, her intentions unknowingly set in motion a series of events that spiral out of control.

About the Director

Kayla Aalia is a Chinese-Indian filmmaker born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. After completing an internship at the award-winning production house ‘Double Vision’, she made the decision to move to Los Angeles to continue her studies and pursue a career in filmmaking. Coming from Malaysia, Kayla’s art has always been influenced by Southeast Asian culture including her fascinating directorial debut, ‘Pontianak’.
