Discussion or Depiction of Suicide‎

Panah, a middle-aged transgender mother, is trying to leave Iran in order to have gender affirmation surgery but her visa and medical documents have been rejected. Her only hope and motivation is to once more see her son, and to be accepted by him as her authentic true self.

About the Director

Fatemeh Ghadirinezhadian is an Iraninan director, writer and producer. She has a Ph.D. in psychology and has worked as a consultant on the sets of feature films and T.V series in Iran. Filmography: PANAH (2022, Short, Drama), WHERE IS THE HEAVEN (2013, Short, Drama).
Sana Norouzbaki is a costume, production, and art designer from Iran. She was born in 1988 in Tehran and also has a master’s degree in architecture and urban designing.
