The everyday magic of dance is everywhere in a Bronx neighborhood. Near the ice cream truck, under the elevated train, and at the subway station, everybody becomes part of the daily dance.
About the Director
Since 2005, Marta Renzi has directed over three dozen short films, completing her debut feature film HER MAGNUM OPUS in 2017. She has received seven NEA Choreographic Fellowships, and a NY Dance & Performance Award (a “Bessie”). Awarded by Dancing in the Streets as a “fearless explorer” in 1995, her Project Co. regularly performed outdoors for free. Marta is a 2013 Bogliasco Fellow and a RAW supported artist. She has collaborated in theater (Andre Gregory), circus (Cecil MacKinnon) and film (John Sayles), and danced with David Gordon, Douglas Dunn, Kei Takei and with Twyla Tharp in HAIR.
