About the Director

Joe Losurdo is a Chicago-based filmmaker and musician. His first film (along with partner Christina Tillman) was the acclaimed documentary “You Weren’t There- A History Of Chicago Punk 1977-1984”. For his first narrative feature “Sacrificial Youth”, Losurdo delved into his teenage years in 80’s hardcore band Life Sentence for inspiration as well as his love/hate relationship with the Rock Musical genre. They are currently working on a documentary about record label and store Wax Trax! Records.
