Finding yourself out of your adolescence, through your twenties and fresh into your 30s can sometimes present giant hurdles. While Stanley has been fine with where he settled in his early 30s, Colline leaves after finding out that Stanley has spent a large sum of money on what she sees as an adolescent holiday and not worth celebrating. After Colline leaves, Stanley has to spend Valentine’s Day alone. But does Stanley have to be alone? Watch how his Valentine’s Day pans out when given the opportunity to be alone with who he is and who he should be.
About the Director
Being two of something sort of makes you neither. This is the theme for Jon Ryan’s life as he is both Japanese and Mexican. Never being able to completely identify with one or the other, he created his own brand and way of communicating, which he has found in filmmaking. Two main things in life are to connect with an individual and to leave a legacy – this is Jon Ryan’s philosophy on life and his work.
