Inspired by their teacher, four schoolboys go out into their neighborhood to collect donations for the blind. The boys start off with enthusiasm on their noble quest. They hope to collect a lot of money and even dream of winning the top prize. But they are in for a rude shock. They get conned by a group of wannabe rockers, get caught in the middle of a married couple’s fight and get scared out of their wits by the old lady who chops off little boys’ fingers and adds it to her soup. Soon the boys realize that it is a big, bad world out there and people can go to great lengths to not part with their money! Be Kind, Help The Blind takes a dig at adults for being materialistic and celebrates a child’s amazing ability to do the right thing.
About the Director
Aditya Uppoor is a filmmaker from Mumbai, India.
Aditya has worked as an Assistant Director and Scriptwriter in the Hindi Film Industry since the last 10 years and has been a part of popular and critically acclaimed Hindi films like Khakee, Apaharan and Johnny Gaddaar.
Be Kind, Help The Blind is Aditya’s first short film.
It is produced by Neo Films, the production company behind award-winning Hindi films like Ardh Satya and Chakra.
