Musical short film adaptation of the classic Poe story. A desperate composer imagines himself both the victim and the Inquisition in Poe’s THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM. Reality and fantasy converge with frightening consequences.
About the Director
Danny Ashkenasi is an American theater/film director, composer, actor, writer and producer born in Berlin, Germany. His short film Poe adaptation THE TELL-TALE HEART – A MUSICABRE played over 80 film festivals, winning over 65 awards. His follow-up THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM – A MUSICABRE, currently playing festivals, has already received many awards. In addition to Poe, Ashkenasi has musically adapted Twain, Melville, Langston Hughes, Lewis Carroll, and The Book of Job.
