Valentina, a young woman living in Moscow, is caring for her mother’s cat when it unexpectedly falls ill. Her desperate attempt to save the animal’s life leads her through the cold, bureaucratic labyrinth which is the post-Soviet Russia’s health care system. And to a deeper understanding of the healing nature of compassion.
A graduate of Moscow’s prestigious Vakhtangov Theater Academy, Elizaveta Koroleva is best known for her portrayal of Sonia in Alexander Sokoruv’s critically-acclaimed adaptation of ‘Crime and Punishment.’ ‘Duduk’ marks her directorial debut.
