#WFA2015 Selections: Documentaries

Documentaries provide a much-needed insight into other peoples’ lives. Winter Film Awards is proud to bring you seven incredible films – Generation ’89, the story of how young East Germans felt when the Berlin Wall fell; H.O.P.E. Was Here, a film about socially conscious vacations in the slums of Peru; Love City Jalalabad, a fearless documentary about the progressive youth of Afghanistan via an Artist Collection in Jalalabad; My Gaadi and I, which looks at the passionate love people have for their cars; P.S. I Can’t Breathe, a close view of the protest marches that swept the country following the Eric Garner and Michael Bell decisions; Curse of an Addict, the story of a young African man trying to rehabilitate himself from heroin through an Islamic exorcism; and Something You Can Call Home, shining a light on the face of homelessness in America.

Check out our amazing and thoughtful selections at the 2015 Winter Film Awards Indie Film Festival!
